Hollow Fibre Supported Liquid Membrane Extraction of Diphenylhydramine, Chlorpheniramine and Ketoprofen in Pharmaceutical Products
A simple sample pre-treatment method utilizing hollow fibre supported liquid membrane (HFSLM) was carried out on pharmaceuticals samples comprising of cough syrups (CS1 and CS2) and an antiinflammatory product (AI). The active ingredients targeted in the extraction process were diphenylhydramine (DPH), chlorpheniramine (CPA) [(S)-γ-(4-chlorophenyl)-N,N-dimethyl-2-pyridinepropanamine maleate sal...
متن کاملSupported liquid membrane extraction of peptides.
The application of supported liquid membrane (SLM) extraction for the enrichment of short peptides is presented. The extraction efficiency is dependent on the pH of donor phase and salt concentration in acceptor phase. Moreover, the extraction efficiency is also influenced by the peptide amino-acid sequence and hydrophobicity.
متن کاملOptimization Extraction of Terbium by Supported Liquid Membrane Using D2EHPA and TOPO
The extraction of Terbium (III)from aqueous nitrate solutions with a supported liquid membrane was investigated using a mixture of di-(2-ethylhexyl phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) and tri-octyl phosphine oxide (TOPO) with a molar ratio 1/0.4. The Hydrophobic Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) membrane was used as solid support. The sorption process followed pseudo-second-o...
متن کاملExtraction of lutetium(III) from aqueous solutions by employing a single fibre-supported liquid membrane.
Transport behaviour of Lu(III) across a polypropylene hollow fibre-supported liquid membrane containing di(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric acid (DEHPA) in dihexyl ether as a carrier has been studied. The donor phase was LuCl(3) in the buffer solution consisting of 0.2 M sodium acetate at pH 2.5-5.0. A miniaturised system with a single hollow fibre has been operated in a batch mode. The concentration of...
متن کاملExtraction of organic acids using a supported liquid membrane.
Liquid membranes usually consist of an extracting agent (carrier) in an organic solvent which separates "feed" and "stripping" phases containing aqueous solutions of the solute of interest and a stripping agent, respectively. In supported liquid membranes (SLMs) the membrane solution is immobilised into a thin solid microporous support, between the feed and stripping phases where transport is f...
